Do Good

Serving people in our community and around the world

Our mission is to lead people to fall more in love with Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve people in our community and around the world.

Do Good: LOCAL

Attack Poverty: Friends of North Richmond

We have partnered with Attack Poverty in order to better serve the community of North Richmond. Around the year, we serve side by side to create events like A Day at the Movies and Mission Week, which are jam-packed with a free and fun time for the community. We also offer kids tutoring at You Can Academy and home repair projects to assist families in need.

Pink Elementary

As a church, we have chosen to adopt Pink Elementary in Richmond as “our school” to serve. We will spend the next year serving Pink’s students, teacher and facility and showing them just how much God loves them.

Second Mile Mission’s goal is to renew hope for families in the Fort Bend County area.

These are our upcoming world missions opportunities.

2018 TBD

For Anyone 18+

Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, with 80% of the population living below the poverty line and  over 80% unemployment.  When the great earthquake hit in 2010, over 100,000 people were killed and 1.5 million people were left homeless.  Just 2 hours north of Port-au-Prince is Chadirac, home to a beautiful mountainside village of 2,700 people.  The majority of the population is made up of subsistence farmers.  There are very few schools in the area, with only 10% of the children in Chadirac enrolled.  Although many in the community attend a local church, they are still involved in voodoo and other local religious customs.Through our partnership with the 410 Bridge we have been able to develop a long term relationship with the village of Chadirac. In this remote mountain village Bridge partners have helped to provide a school for the children as well as build relationships that will be nurtured over time to hopefully lead to spiritual, and economic growth within this community.

We are specifically looking for people with an education background to travel with us on this particular trip as we build relationships with teachers in the village of Chadic.

Through our partnership with Innovative Missions, we will be traveling to the country of Jordan to work alongside organizations who are ministering to Syrian refugees living in the country. This team will be focusing on counseling with women and families as well as doing breast cancer prevention and education work.

July 21st-30th 2017 (Trip Full)

For Anyone 14+ (With Parents)

We have partnered with a Roma (gypsy) church in Mociu, Romania, a very poor village in Northwest Romania. The Roma people are the most disadvantaged minority group in Romania, with over 90% of them living below the poverty line. Frequently they are denied the opportunity to secure housing, education, and employment. They are modern day Samaritans.

While we were there we shared the love of Jesus by taking basic food and necessities, making repairs to homes so that they are more adequately prepared for the brutally cold winters, and holding vacation bible school for the children of this village.

June 2017- Trip Is Full

Each year Bridge partners travel with a team from LIVING WATERS INTERNATIONAL to a village in Honduras that is in need of fresh water. Teams drill a fresh water well, teach hygiene classes within the village, as well as share the hope found in Jesus.
We are gearing this trip for students and parents. This would be a perfect trip for families to consider who are approaching a transition year. Such as middle school to high school or high school to college.
