Update on Pastor Scott's Accident
I want to state up front how grateful I am for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we have received during this time. You are some of the most caring and gracious people we have ever known and I am so thankful for your kind words, thoughts, and well-wishes. It has truly aided in my recovery! I received positive news from my doctors this past week and they feel my healing is progressing nicely. My next follow-up is in four weeks and if, at that time, the x-ray shows my pelvic fractures have fused, I will begin physical therapy and walking. This would be huge because it would move up my recovery by about 2-3 weeks! So, I ask you to join us in prayer for this, please. Until then, I am just taking it day by day. Some days are good with moderate pain levels and others are a bit more difficult. Regardless, we continue to trust God and know that He has a great plan. He is at work in all of these things molding me into the image of His Son. For this reason, we agree with James, the brother of Jesus, when he writes:
“Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. 3 Be assured that the testing of your faith produces endurance leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed in your faith, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4
Again, thank you for loving my family and me in such extravagant ways. We are so blessed to call you our friends and family.
I love you,
