Where are we going?

Were headed to the Gulf Coast’s best-kept secret - Palacious, TX.  This beautiful place is located on the scenic shores of Matagorda Bay and is about 90 minutes southwest of Houston.  The scenery is fantastic and the sunsets over the water are unbelievable! Here is the address: 100 1st St, Palacios, TX 77465

How will we get there?

This year parents get to drop off their student at camp.  When parents come to pick their students up at the end of camp, they will get to participate in a parenting session that will set them up to take the spiritual lead at home.

What will we do at camp?

The better question is “What will we not do?”  The whole week will be full of recreational games, sessions that include speaking and live music, small group time, tribal wars, food and time to chill with your friends.

Who can go to camp?

Students who have completed 6th-12th grades.

What are we eating?

Dude, the food at this place is legit!  You will definitely have the hook up.  And the place is cool enough to accommodate anyone with food allergies.

Can you accommodate students and leaders with food allergies?

Yes. If you need gluten-free replacement entrees or have any other food allergies, please let us know when you register. We cannot guarantee allergy accommodations for notifications submitted less than one week prior to the start of camp. If you need more info, you can email Regina at reginarice@thebridge.me.

Where are we sleeping?

We will sleep in huge rooms separated by gender and age.  Each person will have his or her own bunk.  Don’t forget your sleeping bag!

What does my student need to bring?

Students need to bring a beach towel, sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste, DEODORENT(this is mandatory), refillable water bottles, athletic shoes, bathing suit, shorts, t-shirts, Bibles and journals. Also bring sleeping bags or bed sheets for sleeping, and a pillow. Students may also want to bring extra spending money for snacks and drinks.

What if my student has medical conditions?

You will need to provide medication in their original prescription containers and instructions for use. We will have a nurse at camp to help with any medicine distribution that students may need.

How can I help?

Please pray!  Prayer is always appreciated and needed. If you would like to help as a leader, driver, or in any other capacity, please email Regina at reginarice@thebridge.me.

Can I sponsor a student for camp?

Is there a dress code for camp?

There are always several questions about appropriate attire. The reason for a dress code is so the focus of camp will not be altered. We want to keep campwith as little distractions as possible.

Guys, here are some parameters to follow:

  • Please make sure all attire is modest and appropriate.

  • No speedos or anything that semi resembles a speedo. (Ever in life)

  • Unless at the pool or on the water, wear a shirt at all times that completely covers the chest and torso.

  • No sagging of shorts, pants, or swim trunks. (Nobody wanna see that)

Girls, here are some parameters to follow:

  • Please make sure all attire is modest and appropriate.

  • One piece bathing suits (no cutouts) or tankinis that fully cover the stomach.

  • Stomach should be covered at all times.

  • All shirts and dresses should have a modest neckline.

  • Shorts must have at least a 3” inseam.

  • Skirts and dresses should keep you fully covered when bending over.
